Thoughts on The School for Good and Evil First Lines:  Okay, what?  Somehow I've never picked up these books and actually looked inside even though Mini Me loves this series.  Now that I see how it starts out, I can see why. Immediately I have SO many questions--the first of which is WHY does Sophie want to be kidnapped?!  Intrigue, check.  Mystery, check.  Page-turner, check.  Add in the fact that this is a fantasy book with female main characters and I'm sold.

I also like the cover illustration and the illustrations within.  Why does this house look like it's built on gravestones?  So many questions that I NEED to have answered.

Tell Dr. Bookworm!

What is your favorite novel from when  you were a kid with a female protagonist?  Let me know in the comments.  If I have to answer without really thinking about it, I'd say that I loved the Little House series when I was growing up.
