Hey Bruce

It’s no secret how hard readers fell in love with Bruce, a nurturing and, at times, cantankerous bear who was introduced in Ryan T. Higgins’ Mother Bruce. Bruce has gone on to feature in several other books, each as delightful and funny as the original. Hey Bruce! An Interactive Book is a marriage between Higgins’ humor and the interactive book trend that small and not-so-small readers delight in.

Bruce is napping when the mice decide to ask him what to name their new interactive book…..from there, the mice and the reader force/cajole/laughingly get Bruce into various positions together.

The reader moves the book up and down to get Bruce back into napping position. Or draws in a drain, moves the book in circles for juggling, etc. And, of course, there are many sitcom-like misunderstandings along the way.

Young and old readers will delight in the mice’s antics and Bruce’s patience. A must-have for Bruce fans.

Ten Word Review:
Bruce trying to nap
While readers control him
Hilarity ensues

(Sorry—I couldn’t resist the iconic and overused ‘hilarity ensues’ that follows many book/tv/film summaries.)
